Mackenzie and I go back to my Children’s Place days! We worked together for a couple years at the good ole Dayton Mall. We could definitely come up with a few retail horror stories! Mackenzie and I became friends and those retail friendships are a special kind of bond!
I stopped working at TCP in 2015, when I started my job as a graphic designer. Shortly after leaving, I got married! Conveniently, Larry is a DJ! Larry DJ’ed my wedding and not to turn this into an advertisement, but Larry is at the top of my vendor list for DJs for a reason!
It’s so funny how our vendor relationship kind of came full circle as I’m shooting Larry’s wedding in June!
We met for their engagement session in downtown Miamisburg! I loooove downtown Miamisburg! Aaron and I lived there for a couple years right before we bought our house. That little area is full of memories and nostalgia. So much has changed since we left and since I’m not down there too much, I didn’t even notice! All of these changes are beautiful, but probably my favorite is the umbrellas in the alley by 3 Dips!
After Miamisburg, we headed for the Smith Gardens in Oakwood. I’ve been to this park one other time and it’s such a unique, hidden gem! It’s landscaped beautifully! It’s a great place to go while Wegerzyn has been closed after the tornado damage. I haven’t been to Wegerzyn since the tornado, but Smith Gardens has been an amazing placeholder while Wegerzyn has been in recovery.
I’m so excited for Mackenzie and Larry’s wedding in June! If it’s anything like my wedding was, it’s going to be a blast!
