Mask on? ✓
Social distancing? ✓
There are so many rules for weddings but these two took it and ran with it! Leah and Jonathon wanted a simple wedding from the start, so adding in the extra restrictions wasn’t too difficult for them thankfully!
Flowers were a big focal point of the day. From the amazing floral arch, to the boutonnieres, the whole patio smelled so good! They wanted to combine both Leah and Jonathon’s favorite colors, purple and green, which was such a unique and personal touch. I think they succeeded beautifully!
You may remember their engagement session in march, where we saw lots of daffodils and other fun, early spring flowers! This time around, we got to see tons of wildflowers and so much more color!
These two are complete troopers. Before the ceremony, Leah even climbed a tree in her wedding dress! She was not afraid of any adventure! Her and Jonathon were so willing to get into a wildflower field and I’m so thankful for it! These photos were beautiful. It was very fitting for them! I’m so glad my second shooter (thanks Catherine!) found this field. The light was just perfect. I could of spent all day here.
These two made masks such a fun part of their wedding day. Leah and her dad even wore masks as they walked down the aisle. It makes me so happy to see this unfortunate part of life being something special about a wedding day. It’s hard to look at this pandemic as anything other than a negative, and I’m so glad they were able to be positive about it!
After many card games, Graeter’s Ice cream, tree climbing and social distancing, we headed out for a flower petal exit, which is something I’ve never shot before! Usually it’s sparklers! It was such a unique final touch to the night.
Also, side note: Leah’s wedding dress was sparkly ✨
